We sat in the bar area and had about three ladies come and ask us what drinks we wanted and brought us water quickly and checked on us right away. Our main waitress was super attentive and very kind and helpful. I would go back just to see her again. Most aren’t that friendly anymore. I ordered fajitas and they came out super fast, I am kind of used to them sizzling and being super hot. That’s OK the guacamole was tasty and I took some extra home for later. My skinny margarita was really good too. I always go there when I’m at a horse event at Rancho Marietta and it’s so easy to walk over and have a quick fast dinner

Location of the restaurant is tucked away toward the rear of a business complex but it is worth seeking out. Outdoor dining patio is terrific with shade by large redwood trees and next to a small one with a waterfall. Indoor area is divided into two with a dining room and a bar room. Bar area generally has sports playing on the television screen. Nice menu selection with generous portions. Chips and salsa are provided shortly after being seated. My chimichanga was big enough for two. My wife enjoyed a crunchy taco and an enchilada. If in the area search it out and if weather allows opt in for outdoor dining.

Absolutely delicious!!! Ordered the Chile Verde and the Chile Colorado. The meat was so fall apart tender in both dishes. So tasty! Generous portions, too! Too enough home for a leftover meal! Service was excellent! Friendly and accommodating! Will definitely mark this as a must-stop next time we travel through the area.

12/2/25 Needed something hearty to take to my room and have my dinner. I chose a chili colorado wet burrito, rice and beans. Initially I thought it was a little pricey at $22. But when I got my plate it was a huge burrito! Generous portion of rice and beans, good size container of guacamole, sour cream, and 3 containers of salsa, and a bag of tortilla chips! Fortunately I love it spicy as they're colorado has a little bite, and the flavor is AMAZING! Im a good eater and could only do half for dinner! But the 2nd have made for a delicious lunch! Next week, im doing it again!! While traveling for work, i was hunting for quality Mexican food. I stumbled across El Gallo in Rancho Murrieta. Let me tell you, I'm a Mexican food snob! If it doesn't taste like grandma made it, I don't want it. So I stopped in and sat in the bar Monday night to watch a Raiders game, grab a beer and dinner. Damn, I'm glad I did! I was greeted right away by the lovely Luz. A true Mexican beauty, and the prettiest smile. She brought me chips, salsa, and the most amazing black bean dip. One problem....the dip and salsa was so good, I stuffed myself. I ordered Chili Colorado, kind of my staple that I judge a true Mexican restaurant by. I have to say that I was not disappointed! Bam! Chili sauce had some spice and exploded with flavor! Everything was perfect! Met great people rooting for the Raiders at the bar, food was delicious, serverers are beautiful and friendly, beer on tap was ice cold, and Jose the owner is the perfect host! Big shout out to the entire El Gallo team, from the cooks, to the servers, bar tender and patrons. All amazing, and don't forget the owner, Jose! When you come in for dinner tell him Bud says hello! Enjoy! El Gallo for the win!

This was an unexpected gem! We were driving around looking for a place to eat, saw this place, and took a shot. We are so glad we did. The atmosphere is great. We sat outside next to a waterfall and beautiful atrium. We were given chips, salsa, and black bean dip. The salsa has got some heat, but it's flavorful. I ordered the taco salad, because honestly, I wasn't very confident that this restaurant was going to be good because of the location. My boyfriend got the Chile Verde and we were served quickly. We were very surprised at how fast we got our food. My taco salad was good. The meat was very flavorful. The Chile Verde was excellent. And my boyfriend is very particular about his Chile verde. We were so happy we found this place that we decided to go back the next night for dinner as well! This time, he got the chile and said it was also very good. The prices are a little bit high, but for the quality of the food and the service, it is well worth it. I highly recommend this place.
